Homeopathic
Health Explained
Before commencing treatment or before
"Giving Homeopathy a Go" as is commonly done, it is important that
you understand that when you commence Homeopathic treatment you are in fact
embarking on a new trip - one that will take you back to health. Homeopathy is
not a system, a "thing" that you try when you are desperate; when you
have tried everything else.
Homeopathy is health giving, not by
introducing a medicine in your body, but by stimulating your defense mechanism
to react for itself. This is the great principle of life itself. To allow our
system to do it all, with a little assistance perhaps, but without the intake
of large doses of chemicals, drugs, herbs, vitamins, minerals, or whatever it
may be.
Just think there are a lot of people
around who never take a vitamin or a mineral and are healthy. Others, in spite
of dosing themselves are better perhaps, but not really well. The difference is
the inability of the body to heal itself. It has never had a chance because of
something wrong that has never been rectified. Remember, you are your best
Doctor.
Homeopathy provides nothing but
stimulation. This is why that once you regain your health, you need less and
less of it.
But what are those things that have gone
wrong to the point of leaving you unhealthy; not sick as such, but always
feeling unwell. You don't have a disease that you can be diagnosed by a general
practitioner or even a specialist, you just have scores of little things gone
wrong that no-one seems to understand. Some say that it is a deficiency, but
upon taking vitamin and mineral supplements you only feel better but never
cured. Others say that it is nerves. Others say your diet is wrong. But is it?
Homeopathy explains it this way:
In the beginning when man was first
created, he must have been healthy. He got sick somewhere along the line, and
because he never really recovered, he passed it on to his next generation. This
is very well, one might say, but how do we know what, if it was hundreds or
thousands of years ago?
The Answer is: - The cause of disease as
occurred in original man must have been any one or any combination of the
following:
- Emotional
(shock, trauma, anxiety, fear, etc.)
- Physical
trauma
- Nutritional
- Nervous
- Infections
- Pollution
(chemical, radiations, food additives etc.)
- Environmental
There is obviously an inter-relationship
between these. The reason, for example, that you catch a cold when you are run
down is because your resistance has been lowered.
Many things can lower your resistance:
Emotions, Tensions, Deficiencies, Wrong
Food, Tiredness, Extremes of Climates, etc. Whatever lowers your resistance
will lead to disease. That is, your body is then prone to catching infection
etc. Even nervous tension can cause mal-absorption of minerals, etc.
This is nothing new, one may say. What is
new however, is the fact that so few people realize that infections are the
main reasons why people transmit their disease to their next generation. This
is because micro-organism or at least some of them, penetrate the cell and
affect the genes. "So why am I sick?" one might ask.
This is the Answer: - Homeopathy has
always insisted that 80% of the time 80% of the people suffer not from a
disease but from the after effects of past infections. In recent times medical
statistics have shown that 70-80% of people attending a Doctors clinic have
nothing that is curable. "There is nothing wrong with you" is the too
common explanation one gets today.
The Fact is: - There is something wrong
with you when you complain of discomfort, no matter how vague it may be. Tests
will not show what you have or why you are sick. That's because you haven't got
a disease as such, but effects, unobvious as they may seem, of past infections.
How many times have we heard someone say " I have never been well since I
had pneumonia or the flu vaccine" . One has to know what the cause of the
disease is before one can even attempt to cure it.
This is what makes Homeopathy what it
is. The fact that it is the only branch of medicine that goes into the real
cause of disease. To say that your problem is all nervous, or that you must be
doing something wrong in so far as your diet is concerned, etc., is nothing but
to scratch the surface. These are but unproven opinions.
This is therefore what has to be cured.
And this, only Homeopathy can do. True enough, antibiotics can and do arrest
an infection, but: -
- Antibiotics
prevent the body from fighting for itself.
- Antibiotics
are mainly effective in acute conditions, and
- Do so
by antidoting the effect of the microbial toxins or destroying the microbe
itself.
On the other hand, Homeopathy cures by
stimulating the body's defense mechanism and does so in either acute or chronic
conditions. This is why Homeopathy is so effective.
It is unfortunate however, that people,
after they have allowed their body to be depleted, to be devitalized, to be
rendered chronic through the wrong treatment, wrong food, etc., finally come to
the Homeopath in the hope that they may buy a quick cure. Once you understand
that there is no cure, only a regaining of one's health, of what we had in the
beginning but had lost, you will understand why it takes so long for the body
to recover from illness.
Because illness tends to run in families,
as demonstrated above, it is obvious that parents ought to have been cured
before being allowed to reproduce and only then will their offspring be
healthy. Bernard Shaw, in reply to a question about his good health, replied
that he was healthy because he was born from healthy parents.
Homeopathy, in conjunction with good
diet, proper environment, adequate rest, refrain from consumption of
contaminated foods, avoidance of unnecessary medication, exercise, a positive
outlook on life, etc., can therefore be the only answer to your problem. Any of
those alone is just insufficient.
So, as you can see,
there is no mystery to your health problem only lack of understanding.
It is hoped therefore that this short
explanation of Disease as viewed by Homeopathy will help you understand how
health can be regained and retained.
