Neuilly Homeopathic hospital, Paris 1914

Above: some of the homeopathic hospitals that were operational prior to the discovery of penicillin.

The history of Homeopathy is rich indeed as illustrated above by the many hospitals that existed prior to the turn of the century. These are some of the hospitals that existed at the end of the 1800's up until 1931.
Why did these hospitals close down if Homeopathic medicines are supposed to be so effective our critics would ask? One could also ask why did the Concord stop flying if it was a supersonic airplane that traveled at the speed of sound?
There were some 110 hospitals in the US only at the time. All built before the first world war and had closed down by 1931. There are several reasons for this phenomenon. First, penicillin was discovered in 1928 and was seen as a miracle drug that would eliminate the need for any medicine in so far as infections are concerned, including homeopathic medicine which had proven so effective thus far.
In 1914 the French military, the English military and the Us military saw fit that a Homeopathic hospital should be built in Neuilly, Paris for the soldiers wounded on the front. Military records exist to this date to demonstrate the effectiveness of Homeopathic medicine, which, by the way, is best measured by the lower mortality rate than by any so called scientific research done by the NHMRC. Why would the military of three such nations decide to build a homeopathic hospital rather than a conventional hospital leaves no doubt as to which they thought would be more effective. There is no doubt that penicillin has saved many lives, but so have homeopathic medicines prior to the discovery of penicillin. In the face of such factual evidence one would think that the NHMRC would retract its absurd findings and apologize to the homeopathic community.
John Rockerfeller, whose own Doctor was a homeopath, donated a large part of his fortune to medical science, when his first intention was to use it for homeopathic research. He being swayed by a close friend of his who thought that there was more profit in drugs than in Homeopathic medicine.
